On-Campus 投票r Registration Drives

主要研究达勒姆, in collaboration with the Town of 达勒姆, will host three on-campus voter registration opportunities:

  • Tuesday, October 1 from 11 - 1:30 in Philbrook Hall
  • Thursday, October 10 from 11 - 1:30 in Holloway Commons
  • Tuesday, October 15 from 11 - 1:30 in Holloway Commons

2024年大选

The 2024 General Election is on Tuesday, November 5, 2024

需要搭车吗??  UNH Transit will offer shuttles to the polls on November 5 starting at 7 a.m. Busses will pick up at Holloway Commons 和 on Garrison Ave.

Registering to vote 在新罕布什尔州 is quick 和 easy, especially when you bring appropriate identification.

Registering to vote requires you to demonstrate four attributes about yourself:

  • 身份: 图片识别, such as a valid driver’s license (from any 状态) or your UNH ID.
  • Domicile (your address for voting purposes): A piece of mail showing the address you are claiming as your voting domicile or login to WebCat 在手机上.
  • Age (18+):  A driver's license, passport or birth certificate.
  • U.S. Citizenship: Passport, birth certificate or naturalization papers. If you do not have one of these documents, you can sign a document attesting to your citizenship.

You may register in person at the town or city clerk’s office up to 10 days prior to an election, or on Election Day at the polling place.

Establishing a voting domicile may trigger certain other residency obligations under 状态 law. These may include the obligation to obtain a New Hampshire driver’s license 和/or motor vehicle registration. For additional information 和 questions regarding registration, please 点击这里.

Voting using your college address

New Hampshire election law provides college students with a special privilege when determining where they register to vote. A college student 在新罕布什尔州 may choose as their voting domicile either the domicile they held before entering college or the domicile they established while attending college. 学生 may ONLY have one voting domicile.  

主要研究达勒姆 students living on-campus may use WebCat to prove their residency in 达勒姆. Those living off-campus, but in 达勒姆, can use a piece of mail or a copy of their lease.

Voting in another New Hampshire city or town

Register ahead of time or request an absentee registration packet from your city or town clerk.  On election day,  you may vote by absentee ballot or in person.  If you are not yet registered, you can do so at the polls. Find your city/town clerk's office 和 polling location.
